A member of the New Avengers who was originally trained to become the Black Widow assassin in the Red Room. The character uses a New York bathhouse as her "office," where Spider-Man consults with her and obtains information necessary for his missions. The film reveals that Belova is now known as "Black Widow," a name used by her sister, Natasha Romanoff, before her death. Tramell Tillman as William "Bill" Metzger: The head of the DODC, which polices people with superpowers. Marisa Tomei as May Parker: Peter's aunt, who was killed in No Way Home and appears in flashbacks. Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner / Hulk: A founding Avenger and genius scientist who, due to exposure to gamma radiation, transforms into a muscular, green-skinned man when angry or anxious. Additionally, Michael Mando reprises his role as Mac Mac. Gargan / Scorpion, a criminal captured and arrested by Spider-Man in the film Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), now wears armor with a mechanized scorpion-like tail. Liza Colón-Zayas plays New York City Police Department (NYPD) Detective Jean DeWolff; Olivia Booth-Ford plays Sara Grey, Jean's older sister who possesses the same mutant powers as Jean; Iman Esfandi appears as MJ's new unnamed boyfriend, identified as "Paul" in the film's subtitles and believed to be a reference to Paul Rabin, one of Mary Jane Watson's boyfriends in the comics. Shannon Young Cho plays Cindy, one of Banner's students, stunt performer and martial artist Fan Xiaoshuang, leader of a ninja group called the Hand; Naomi Watts plays Parker's AI assistant, E.V. and Keith David narrates a nature documentary on spiders that Parker watches. News anchor Pat Kiernan appears as himself after appearing in several other MCU projects. Zabryna Guevara is briefly seen as Sheila Rivera, the new mayor of New York City, in the Disney+ television series Daredevil: Born Again (2025–present). This occurs during an opening montage, which also features cameos from Marvin Jones III as Lonnie Lincoln / Tombstone, a superhuman crime boss with albinism; stunt performer Aidan Kennedy as Fred Myers / Boomerang and a member of the Hand; Billy Clements as Ramrod, a cyborg; and an unidentified performer as Tarantula. Star Tom Holland (pictured July 2016) was more involved in the development of Brand New Day than in previous MCU Spider-Man films. Sony Pictures stated in August 2019 that it would not produce future Spider-Man films with Marvel Studios and its president, Kevin Feige, after negotiations to update the production deal between the two companies had failed. Sony co-produced Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) with Marvel Studios and Amy Pascal, and was reported to be developing two more films. Following negative fan reaction, Sony and Marvel's parent company Disney agreed to a deal with Peter Parker. In February 2021, Spider-Man star Tom Holland stated that No Way Home was the last film in his contract, but that he hoped to continue playing the character. He later stated that future Spider-Man films would be different from the previous trilogy and would feature a change in tone. Around the release of No Way Home in December 2021, Holland stated that he was unsure whether he should continue making Spider-Man films, feeling that something would be wrong if he were still playing the character in his thirties. He was interested in making a film about Miles Morales/Spider-Man instead, and said that he would be sad to leave the franchise but that he had achieved what he wanted with the character.
